Beacon Community Church

We are a Christ-centred, praying, worshiping community here in Port Glasgow. We aim to create welcoming, safe spaces where people of all ages can connect together and can explore following Jesus and the Christian faith alongside one another. We are here to be a blessing for the community and ‘for the one’.

Gatherings

Fortnightly Sunday Afternoons at 3pm

We have a gathered time fortnightly on Sunday afternoons to connect and eat together and explore the bible and Christianity, as well as other times throughout the month when we meet in smaller groups. We meet in homes and sometimes outdoors or other venues too. We love to gather round the table together – there is always an open invite and space for more round the table (and if not, we’ll get a bigger one!)

History of the Church

Beacon Community Church started in late 2020 (what a year that was!) as Connect Community Church, when Graham and Marianne felt called to start a new church expression, living in and loving their community and exploring the Christian faith with people who are not necessarily part of the established church.

With the encouragement and support of our sending church (Connect Church in Paisley) and our network (Skylark International) God made it clear that Port Glasgow was that community and so they and their family moved to Port Glasgow with a small team and so Beacon Community Church began.

As we have got to know Port Glasgow, we have been listening to God and our community as we look to live out our vision for beacon as a place of blessing, belonging, exploring the Christian faith and becoming more like Jesus alongside the amazing people who God is connecting us with in Port Glasgow.
